Let's make Oreo Cheesecake! This is the ultimate crowd pleasing dessert for any cookout, get together, or party. You can't go wrong with a cheesecake loaded with Double Stuf Oreos, on top of an Oreo Crust, and topped with adorable Mini Oreos. Top it all off with some hot fudge and watch out. You're going to be on dessert duty for the rest of your days.
How do you make Oreo Cheesecake?
Cheesecake sometimes seems intimidating, but it really is one of the simplest desserts to make!
First, you combine the cookie crumbs and butter for the crust. Press that into your springform pan and let it chill while you make the filling.
Next, combine the ingredients for the filling. Make sure your cream cheese is super soft so that it doesn't leave clumps. Beat everything together and pour it over the crust.
No, I do not use a waterbath! Instead, I use two wet tea towels. Run them under water and squeeze them out. The wrap these two wet towels around the pan. The is the easiest trick to make your cheesecake bakes evenly and doesn't crack! I promise, if you get the tea towels wet, they will not burn in the oven!
I prefer to make my cheesecakes the day before (or even a few days before!). Your cheesecake needs to bake long and slowly to prevent it from cracking. It needs to chill slowly for the same reason. To make sure your cheesecake is perfectly set and chilled with no cracks, I always suggest making your cheesecake the day before your event!
