Cheesecake Swirled Fudge Brownies

Rest in peace, Yammie. May your family and friends remember you fondly and find comfort in your legacy. Your legacy being these brownies, which were also ironically the cause of your death.

Now, whatever you do, do NOT cut yourself a piece as big as the one pictured above. Do NOT eat the whole pan. If you find yourself grabbing for another, you MUST restrain yourself. You will not realize what you're doing to yourself until it's too late, so you'll just have to trust me.

Maybe you should just make half of a batch. Or a third. Or a quarter.

Or maybe you just shouldn't make them at all. That would be safer.

But you're going to, aren't you?

Well, if you insist. But don't blame me when you end up in the ER with chocolate overdose.

Cheesecake Swirled Fudge Brownies

2 sticks of butter, melted
2 1/4 cups of sugar
4 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 1/4 cups of cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups chocolate chips

8 oz. softened cream cheese
1/3 cup sour cream
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg

Grease a 9x13 in. pan. and preheat the oven to 350ยบ.

Mix together the butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Mix together the cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, and flour and add to the rest, whisking until combined. Stir in the chocolate chips. Pour the batter into the pan.

In a separate bowl combine the cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, vanilla, and egg.

Make some long trenches in the batter with the end of a wooden spoon or your finger. Fill the trenches with cream cheese. Then take a knife and cut rows all the way through the batter the opposite direction of the trenches.

Bake for about half an hour. Refrigerate before eating.

And guys, just be careful. There is such a thing as a chocolate hangover.
