The Top 10 Posts of 2017

2017 has been a crazy year for us.

We moved twice over 8 time zones, from Germany to Michigan to Wyoming. We've been to Venice (see the post here) and Boston, spent tons of time on Lake Huron and in magnificent mountains of Wyoming, I made 200 sugar cookies and a wedding cake back to back (not to mention my sister's wedding cake in December). We found out we're expecting another baby (a month and a half from now!!!!!!!!) and our current baby turned one in October.

Yep, it's been a good year. And now, what you've been waiting for, the top 10 most popular recipes of 2017!

The Top 10 Posts of 2017

As you can see, even my kid goes crazy for them. I think I ended up taking them away from him though so I could eat the whole batch by myself. I did make my pen name after yams for a reason.

9. Chewy Salted Caramel Crispy Bars

I forgot about these. If I would have remembered, I would have made them as Christmas cookies this year. They are amazing. That's all I can say.

After all these years, I finally discovered how to make the perfect thick, beautiful cinnamon swirl.

7. The Best Sugar Cookie Cutouts Ever

So these are actually the best sugar cookies you will ever eat. I usually am not a sugar cookie cutout fan because they tend to be fluffy-ish and dry, but these are not. You can ask any of my relatives to confirm as these are from the batch of 200 I made for my cousin's graduation party. They all raved.

6. Cherry Cheesecake Swirl Brownies

This post was popular, not only for the obvious reason of the amazingness of these brownies, but also because I announced our pregnancy and move to Wyoming in this post.

5. Chipotle Sweet Potato and Black Bean Chili
For when you want chili, but you already had it twice for dinner this week and are bored of it.

4. Prosciutto Wrapped Brie Bites

So these awesome little appetizers are from when we still lived in Germany at the beginning of the year (how was that only a year ago???) where brie and prosciutto were cheaper and easier to find than deli roast beef and cheddar. We were spoiled.

3. 3 Ingredient Peanut Butter No Bake Cookies

These are THE easiest cookies ever and I think I've made them about 3 trillion times since I first made the recipe.

2. Flourless Dark Chocolate Brownie Cookies

You know what they say, a picture says a thousand words...

1. Creamy Mini Meatball and Brussels Penne Pasta

Number 1! My favorite pasta pretty much ever. It's so good.

And now, a special bonus round....

The Top Ten Most Popular Posts That I Didn't Post in 2017

10. The Best German Chocolate Cake in All the Land

A post from 2013... This is also the best cake in all the land period. I have yet to test it on my coconut hating husband, but I don't even think he could disapprove.

9. The Best Oven Fried Chicken Ever

Now I did test these on my mayo hating husband and he loved them. They're easy and turn out perfectly every time.

8. Flourless Marshmallow Crunch Brownies

These made the list for obvious reasons. If they aren't obvious now, they will be after you taste them.

7. Caramel Toffee Crunch Cheesecake

I actually made these again this year, and it was as luscious as always. Seriously, this might be my favorite thing on the blog.

6. The Best Fudge Ever

The recipes that I have taken the time to experiment and tweak for weeks until they are perfected always tend to make the list. This is one of them and all 4 of my batches turned out great this Christmas.

5. Cream Cheese Apple Coffee Cake

There's just something about the perfect symphony of layers here that gets me every time...

4. Secretly Healthy Zucchini Brownies

How can something this chocolatey and gooey be so innocent?

3. The Best Spinach Artichoke Dip Ever

Multiple friends and family members have said to me, "Oh we made your spinach artichoke dip. It's amazing!" leaving me thinking... "what spinach artichoke dip recipe are they talking about??", because I neeeevver use an actual recipe to make it. Then I remember that I did actually write down what I was doing one time and posted it.

2. The Best Blueberry Muffins Ever

Another example of weeks of tweaking and experimenting paying off. These muffins were the result of "The Great Muffin Experiment of 2015", which my sister and I conducted before I got married. They are, in fact, the best muffins ever.

1. Sundried Tomato and Spinach Stuffed Chicken

And my top viewed recipe this year is this simple, delicious, and beautiful pan of chicken.

I hope you all had a great Christmas and have a happy new year! Don't forget to follow Yammie's Noshery on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest or join the email list by entering your email address in the top right hand corner!
