Six Ingedient Chocolate Fudge Crinkles

You probably wouldn't ever have guessed this by the amount of cheesecakes and cheesey stuffed chicken that I make, but milk does not agree with my tummy. In fact, ever since I was little, I always had stomach aches. But even without drinking any straight-up milk, I still don't feel absolutely 100%. My Dad struggles with the same predicament, so that's when he decided to try going gluten-free too, since his dad had celiac for years and years. I decided to try it with him.

Before I go on... DO NOT BE ALARMED. Nothing around here is going to change. There are still seven other "normal" people in this family that want food. Piggie and Co. will not give up their stuffed cheese buns that easily.

So, long story short, in addition to being more strict about dairy, I'm cutting out all gluten products too. That means no wheat, rye, or barley. Which translates to no bread, no cookies, and no cake. Nothing with flour.

What sad times these are.

Or so I thought. Before I discovered flourless chocolate cake. And chicken salad in tomato cups. And these cookies.

Somehow I find a way. Somehow I always seem to find a way to squeeze in those five billion extra calories every day. I'm hopeless.

I am feeling better though, I think. Whether it's from my new strictness about dairy or the lack of gluten, I'm still not sure. But Daddio seems convinced that gluten-free is the only way for him, so I have a feeling I'm going to be doing a lot of gluten-free cooking from now on either way.

The longer I've been on this diet, the more I've opened my eyes to the gluten-free world. It really is quite a big place. I've realized that even quite a few people I know in person are sensitive to gluten. On top of that, it seems to just be a really big trend right now. People all want to try out this new way of life in hopes that it will solve all of their problems in life. I know it's solved more than a few of mine.

So that leads me to the good news: I'm starting a new blog!!! It's going to be solely for my dear gluten-free and dairy-free friends in need.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you Yammie's Glutenfreedom. If you have any gluten-free friends, just let them know about it. It could change their lackluster lives forever.

So spread the word. Because gluten-free is no longer represented by crumbling cookies and grainy, dried up muffins. Friends, meet the new face of glutenfreedom:

Whether you are gluten-free or not, you're gonna love these babies. Especially because there are only six ingredients. You can find the recipe for these cookies on Yammie's Glutenfreedom. See you there!
